My name is Jessica and I’m a waffle addict.
I am a writer with a degree in Physics and a minor in Education. I have 15 years of writing experience, and five years teaching kids and young adults in both the math and science fields.
As an editor for two video game review websites, I spent three years contributing reviews, interviews, and editorials. This led to a copywriting position where I juggled several writing and editing projects that ranged from internal documentation on social media strategies, to blog articles and newsletters, to ad copy and collateral.
I have been exploring my passion for directing with many talented friends in the Bay Area by creating my own web series — Girl Girl Trouble Time — a live-action story about superheroes and villains, and the strange things that happen when two become friends.
While some might think I was raised by wolves, I was actually raised on Carl Sagan, Star Wars, video games, Bob Ross, 3-2-1 Contact, and a healthy supply of mac’n’cheese. I wish I knew where my waffle addiction came from, but it’s one of those things you either love or hate about yourself. I chose to love it. With my mouth.
I didn’t start writing professionally until I was unemployed, which seems fitting. They say what you do in your free time is what you love. High school Jes would tell those people to go die in a fire, but that’s another story.
I currently live in the Bay Area with my husband. We love hiking, traveling, gaming together, finding new ways to make each other snort-laugh, and scotch. And cats. Lots of cats. We don’t own any, but if you had one, we would probably hold onto it for you.
Live long and prosper,
